The Slouchy Beanie

I love the slouchy beanie. They began showing up on the scene about two years ago amid the trendier circles, and have made their way onto heads in hollywood and those of your teenage daughters. The slouchy beanie looks something like the offspring of a beret and a rasta dreadlock hat. Depending on ones preference, and choice of yarn, the beanie is sometimes made to resemble one more than the other. And guess what? Guys like to wear them too! However, the same patterns do not apply for a male version of the slouchy beanie. They generally prefer a more conservative version, often with a simpler weave, that looks less like a beret and more like an actual beanie. If they choose to go bigger, they will generally jump straight to the other extreme, which is the dreadlock hat.
Here are a few free woman's patterns I found online to get you started on your own slouchy. Enjoy.
